Currently Martin Creed has an exhibition on at Hauser and Wirth Gallery titled "Toast". It is running from the 30th of November 2018 till the 9th of February 2019.
This is one of my favorite exhibitions that I've been to in ages and possibly ever. Its the playfulness mixed with professionalism. Taking almost filly ideas and executing them so well they become brilliant.
The performances that happen during the "lights off" part of "Lights on, lights off" were a perfect accompaniment to the whole. It was incredibly clear how well orchestrated every element of the show was and it successfully built upon itself with each layer.
Its this sort of 'Wholeness' that id like from my work when presented in such a way.
Here are photos of pieces that stood out to me...
I was happy to see the use of a bar code in action to direct people to the information that goes alongside the exhibition.
